Homemade Carrot and Mango Butter Face Cleanser
Cleanser Recipe:
Ingredients:
- 2/3 cup Mango Butter (150 grams)
- 1/4 cup Shea Butter (55 grams)
- 2 tsp Beeswax Pellets (or in block form)
- 4 tsp Jojoba Oil
- 2 tsp Carrot Seed Oil
- 1/4 tsp Vitamin E Oil (1-2 capsule vitamin E will do)
- Small Saucepan
- Small Stainless Steel Bowl (heatproof glass bowl will be fine)
- 4 oz Glass Jar with Lid
- Muslin Cloth (optional) or
- Cotton Face Cloth
- Place all the ingredients into the small bowl and place over your small saucepan of boiling water to melt. This will usually take less than 5 minutes.
- When fully melted, remove from heat and pour into your clean and sterilized glass jar.
- Allow to fully cool before screwing on the lid.
- Your butter cleanser is now ready and you may store this in a dark cool cupboard up to 6 months and may be used once or twice a day.
- Using a small spatula or spoon scoop a small amount of butter cleanser into the palm of your hand.
- Apply all over the face and neck in small circular movements.
- With a damp warm muslin cloth sweep over your face remove the cleanser.
- Rinse in warm water in- between as you are removing makeup in particular.
- The muslin cloth is slightly exfoliating too so gently removes the dead skin cells along with the cleanser and grime, leaving the skin silky soft.
- When all the cleanser has been removed, sweep over the face with your homemade face toner by applying it to dampened cotton wool.
- Follow with your anti-aging facial serum and face moisturizer.
Carrot Seed Oil should be avoided with Epilepsy and during Pregnancy. Always seek a doctor’s opinion before using this ingredient.
